These nerve-wracking exams have made it virtually impossible for me to pen anything remotely profound of recent, but this rather sudden itch of mine to write this evening just must be scratched regardless.
My sincere apologies.
For those of us who derive such a satisfying sense of fulfillment (as we ought to, of course) from simply being there for people - especially the ones we love - whenever they need us to, please remember to regularly remind yourself that you simply cannot pour from an empty cup, regardless of how willing you are to. You just can't give what you don't have.
It's really easy to lose sight of the fact that ensuring our welfare (spiritual, physical, psychological, financial, emotional, you name it) is primarily our own duty, until it's almost too late and we're nearly burnt out. So let this serve as a reminder to you as well, dear Michael. Please take care of yourself. It's your responsibility after all.
Have a phenomenal week ahead, and please say a prayer or two for me if it's not too much trouble. I'm in dire need of them - especially for the days just ahead.
Peace, love and blessings!
Tuff times dont last but tuff people do .... Looking back you can connect the dots I guess....
